Dripping Springs Park in eastern Oklahoma, about nine miles south of Okmulgee, is a city-owned park and lake recreation area centered on camping, boating, swimming, and fishing at Dripping Springs Lake. Formerly Dripping Springs State Park, it offers RV and tent camping, picnic areas, group pavilions, showers, a fishing dock, a lighted boat ramp, and an ADA comfort station. The lake, begun in 1976 and filled by 1979, became Oklahoma’s first trophy bass lake and remains known for bass fishing. Covering about 1,100 to 1,150 acres, it has clear water but also summer thermal stratification and dissolved oxygen limits affecting fish and wildlife propagation.
