Miller Mountain
Nature
Miller Mountain, in Wyoming County in Pennsylvania’s Endless Mountains region, stands out as an isolated peak separated from the rest of the Allegheny Plateau, making it one of the area’s most recognizable summits. The Susquehanna River passes by its base, and the mountain’s slopes rise more than 1,600 feet above the riverbanks and the town of Tunkhannock. In 2023, the state purchased Miller Mountain and added it to Pinchot State Forest, bringing it into public ownership as part of Pennsylvania’s state forest system.
