Ahavath Scholom Temple was dedicated in September 1889. The last Jewish service was held there in 1954. On Sunday, September 17, 1989, the Ligonier Historical Society held a ceremony for the 100th anniversary of the temple's dedication and rededicated it as the Ligonier Historical Museum. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
