Established in 1725 as Oley, this meeting became Exeter in 1742. The present stone meeting house was built in 1759 near the site of two earlier log structures. Members of the Boone, Ellis, Hughes, Lee, and Lincoln families are buried here. Meetings were discontinued in 1899, and the building reopened for worship in 1949.
