From the 1930's until his death in 1994, except for brief periods away for school and as an army recruit, Paul Wilhelm lived in this grove. He first resided in the palm log house he called the "Vagabond House," and later built a rustic cabin overlooking his lake in the wash south of the Visitors Center. At different times several other structures also stood here, including huts for visitors and this outhouse, which volunteers excavated in 2014.
