Westhope, or the Richard Lloyd Jones House, is a Tulsa residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his cousin Richard Lloyd Jones and completed in 1931. One of only three Wright buildings in Oklahoma and the only known textile-block house of his built outside California, it was conceived on a grand scale for a private home, with two stories, extensive grounds, and a striking exterior of concrete piers and thousands of glass panes. Its bold design drew both praise and criticism, but it stands as a distinctive late example of Wright’s concrete-block architecture. After later ownership changes and periods of decline, the house was renovated and remains recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
