Piper Peak is the highest mountain in Nevada’s Silver Peak Range, located in Esmeralda County. It is also the county’s most topographically prominent summit and ranks twenty-third in Nevada by topographic prominence. The summit stands on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management and has no access restrictions. It was named for N. T. Piper and has also been known as Mount Piper and Pipers Peak.
