Sagamore Hill reveals a layered cultural and natural history in the present landscape. Once an Indian Council gathering place, it later became a World War II coastal military installation. The land is now a mixture of field, forest, marsh, and swamp, and the summit offers a view of Cape Cod Bay and the eastern section of Cape Cod Canal.
