The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona is dedicated to the memory of all the patriotic men and women who answered their country’s call to service. Its expansion and beautification project was dedicated on April 1, 2001, during the presidency of George W. Bush, with Anthony J. Principi serving as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Roger R. Rapp as Acting Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs in the National Cemetery Association.
