Nature
Mount Idaho is a 12,065-foot peak in Idaho’s Lost River Range within Salmon-Challis National Forest. It is the state’s seventh highest mountain and the sixth highest summit in its range. The peak rises just south of Borah Peak, its line parent, and northwest of Leatherman Peak, placing it among the prominent high summits of central Idaho. Merriam Lake lies in the basin northeast of the summit, contributing to the distinctive alpine setting around the mountain.
