Mount Regan
Nature
Mount Regan is a 10,190-foot peak in Idaho’s Sawtooth Range, within the Sawtooth Wilderness of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. On the border of Boise and Custer counties, it rises at the southern end of Sawtooth Lake and stands 1.9 miles west of Merritt Peak, its line parent. Trailer Lakes, Regan Lake, and the Trail Creek Lakes help define the mountain’s setting. The peak is named for Timothy Regan, a pioneer who lived in Silver City before later settling in Boise. It remains part of central Idaho’s notable mountain landscape of high lakes, rugged terrain, and protected wilderness.
