Tahquitz Falls is a roughly 60-foot waterfall on Tahquitz Creek in lower Tahquitz Canyon at the western edge of Palm Springs, California, within land managed by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Water drops over a granite slab into a pool below, and the falls are reached by the Tahquitz Canyon Trail, which climbs about 350 feet from the visitor center. The canyon and falls are named for Tahquitz, a spirit in Agua Caliente Cahuilla tradition, giving the site cultural significance as well as scenic appeal. The falls also appear in film history and lie within a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
