Nunzio P. DeSantis was born in Cansano, Italy, in 1951 and was naturalized in the U.S. He studied pharmacy at the U. of N.M. in 1974, became a board certified nuclear pharmacist, and pioneered ready-to-use radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging. He also built by leasing MRI centers, founded Diagnostek, Inc. in 1983, and served hospital and pharmacy management and nationwide H.M.O.'s as an educator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
