The Hill Memorial, headquarters of the Sussex County Historical Society, was built in 1916 in Renaissance Revival style by gift of Joshua Hill. It was dedicated June 8, 1917. In 1985 it was listed on the State and National Historic Registers as the oldest museum building in New Jersey.
