East Temple Peak is a high mountain in Wyoming’s southern Wind River Range, within the Bridger Wilderness of Bridger-Teton National Forest. Rising between 12,605 and 12,645 feet, it stands just northeast of Temple Peak and west of Wind River Peak. A small glacier remains on its northeast slopes, reinforcing the alpine character of the surrounding terrain. Like other peaks in the Winds, it is set in rugged country where steep rock, snow, and exposure can make travel serious. The broader range is remote and demanding, with hazards including bears, wildfires, harsh snow conditions, cold nights, falls, and rockfall.
