Wind River Peak is a 13,197-foot mountain in Wyoming and the highest point at the southern end of the Wind River Range. It rises on the Continental Divide, with its west slopes in the Bridger Wilderness of Bridger-Teton National Forest and its east side in the Popo Agie Wilderness of Shoshone National Forest. A cirque on its northeast slopes contains Wind River Glacier, reinforcing the mountain’s alpine character. As a prominent high summit in this part of the range, it stands within a remote expanse of protected national forest land.
