The memorial is dedicated to the men and women of Meade County who entered the Armed Services of the country while residents of Meade County, and it honors those on the Meade County Honor Roll who gave themselves in service and sacrifice for God and Country during World War II, celebrating heroes who acted above and beyond the call of duty and whose patriotism helped make America a land of the free because it is the home of the brave.
