America’s veterans are honored for their courage and honor in assuring that the bells of freedom continue to ring throughout this great land, and Surfside Beach pledges not to forget its veterans. The remembrance includes a long roll of service members from the United States Army, United States Marine Corps, United States Navy, United States Air Force, and United States Coast Guard, with individual names, ranks, periods of service, wartime service, and distinctions spanning conflicts and eras including World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Pearl Harbor, the Battle of the Bulge, the Solomon Islands, North Africa, Italy, Japan, and Guam.
