Honobia Creek Wildlife Management Area is a large protected tract in southeastern Oklahoma spanning Pushmataha, Le Flore, and McCurtain counties. Managed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, it covers 97,758.18 acres of privately owned land under agreements made in 2010 with Hancock Natural Resource Group, Rayonier Forest Resources, and Molpus Timberlands Management. Identified as the state's first privately owned wildlife management area, it operates public use through a land access fee permit system. The upper course of the Little River runs 21 miles through the area, and its eastern edge shares 16 miles of border with the larger Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area, illustrating conservation through state and private partnership.
