Pringle Falls is a series of rapids and low cascades on the upper Deschutes River in central Oregon, within Deschutes National Forest. Rather than a single scenic waterfall, it drops about 25 feet over roughly 850 feet, with whitewater that progresses from class II to class III and ends in a class IV drop. Because the cascades are not visible from nearby roads and shorter carries are cut off by private land, many boaters bypass them by a 1.5-mile portage between Wyeth Campground and Pringle Falls Campground. The site was named for O. M. Pringle, who acquired land here in 1902, and it was once known as Fish Trap for Native American fishing there.
