In what was once old Floyd County and is now Lawrence County, Kentucky, the memory of Revolutionary soldiers found there is preserved through the names of James Blevins, Edward Burgess, Jeremiah Burns, Richard Cains, John M. Chadwick, Joseph Davis Jr., William Holbrook, William Lyon, George Puck, Moses Preston, John Ross, James E. Stewart, Richard Thompson, Bennett Wellman, Silas P. Wooten, and William Brown.
