Henry Horn founded Lewisburg, Ohio, and recorded its establishment on September 7, 1818. A Revolutionary War veteran, he also established several sawmills, a stillhouse, and a tannery in the area. In 1975, Horn's 1813 log house was purchased for $1, entirely disassembled, moved to the Preble County Historical Society, and reassembled there. It has since been available for tours and serves as a reference for pioneer living.
