William Grose, born December 16, 1812, and died July 30, 1900, was a brigadier general in the Union Army who commanded the 36th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War. A pioneer, lawyer, legislator, judge, and author, he made lasting contributions to Henry County, the State of Indiana, and the United States of America.
