Bowsher Ford Covered Bridge in Liberty Township, Parke County, Indiana, is a historic covered road bridge and a late example of the type for which the county is especially known. Built in 1915 as a single-span Burr Arch truss bridge, it reflects the expertise of the Britton family. Although Elmer Garrard received the construction contract, Eugene Britton, son of bridge builder J.A. Britton, is credited as its builder. Its importance within Indiana’s surviving covered-bridge heritage was formally recognized when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
