200 I Street was once a paper warehouse and printing facility for The Washington Post and also served as a tech hotel before being repurposed as a Class A office space housing four DC Government agencies. Its renovation and repurposing, a public-private partnership between the DC Government and the developer Stonebridge Carras, won a Washington Business Journal Best Real Estate Deal of the Year award in 2010. The building houses over 1,200 employees and a first-floor art gallery curated by one of the agencies in residence, The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
