Mount Lincoln is a 1,240-foot mountain in Pelham, Massachusetts, on the Pelham Hills above the Connecticut River Valley. Its mostly wooded summit, reached by the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail, includes a fire tower with broad views and lies within the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Cadwell Memorial Forest. The forest honors Frank A. Cadwell, a local businessman born in 1860 whose widow donated the land to the university in 1952 after his death in 1935; it is now used for silviculture and ecosystem research. The mountain also carries a Five Colleges radio beacon, and its slopes drain into separate watersheds that ultimately flow to the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound.
