Sturgis One Room School in Pocomoke City, Maryland, began as Sturgis School and served the local community from 1900 to 1937. Originally located on Brantley Road, the one-room schoolhouse was later moved to 209 Willow Street in 1996. It is preserved there as the Sturgis One Room School Museum, where it represents local education in the early 20th century. Its survival and relocation allowed the former school building to remain a historical landmark and to show how schooling was conducted in the area.
