The home at 1321 West Okmulgee Avenue was built in 1907 for Colonel George A. Murphy, a prominent Muskogee attorney who also served on the Board of Directors for the American National Bank of Muskogee. His widow Clara contributed funds that helped build Murphy Hall, once a popular meeting place for various organizations and civic clubs. It remains a private home with no visitors.
