Georgetown High School was established and graduated its first class in 1926, became accredited in 1932, and continued annual graduations under that name through 1971. In a life of less than half a century, many graduates left its halls filled with knowledge, integrity, and patriotism to pass on for generations. In the grand auditorium, students learned to love God, their country, and their school. After the doors closed, those values echoed within its walls until the building was destroyed by fire in July 1990. Its alma mater praised dear old Georgetown High and declared that it would never be forgotten.
