Thomas Hittesdorf was born on Sept. 27, 1943, and died on June 26, 2003. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees on active duty from 11-1-62 to 11-1-72 and in the U.S. Navy Seabee Reserve from 11-1-72 to 11-1-92, including service in Operation Desert Storm from Jan. to July 1991. He also worked for the City of Fountain Valley from 5-22-1973 to 6-26-2003 and was regarded as an exemplary employee for more than 30 years, admired and appreciated by his fellow employees, and remembered by them as a true friend whose knowledge and experience were valued.
