Paintbrush Canyon in Grand Teton National Park is a glacially carved canyon in the Teton Range, formed as glaciers retreated about 15,000 years ago. Set between prominent peaks, it rises to Paintbrush Divide at 10,720 feet, where views extend toward Lake Solitude, Mount Moran, and the Cathedral Group, including Grand Teton. The canyon is also one of the park’s notable backcountry routes. Its trail is part of a popular 19.2-mile strenuous circuit with 3,845 feet of elevation change, and it also connects to the 39-mile Teton Crest Trail crossing the southern Teton Range.
