The Winter Dance Party was held in Kenosha at The Eagles Ballroom, at the corner of 58th Street and 3rd Avenue. Only days later, "The Day the Music Died" occurred when the plane carrying three of the four stars crashed in Clear Lake, Iowa, on February 3, 1959.
