Signal Peak is the highest summit in the Pine Valley Mountains and in Washington County, Utah, rising to 10,369 feet within Dixie National Forest. North of St. George and south of Pine Valley, it is also the highest point in the Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness. The mountain lies in the watershed of tributaries of the Virgin River, which ultimately reaches the Colorado River. A trail from Oak Grove Campground near Leeds provides access to the summit and to this high forested part of the range. As the loftiest point in the area, it is a defining landmark above the desert country of southwestern Utah.
