Constructed with a $5000 gift from industrialist Andrew Carnegie, this building opened as a free public library in 1911. Until 1962 it housed the library upstairs and the Edmonds City Hall downstairs. After other civic uses, it became the home of the Edmonds Historical Museum and its society in 1973.
