Twin Rivers State Forest is a protected area in North Central Florida encompassing 14,882 acres along the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers. Instead of forming one continuous forest, it consists of 15 separate tracts extending south to north along both river corridors. These parcels include lands near Mill Creek, Anderson Springs, Ellaville, Blue Springs Longleaf, Chitty Bend, Hardee Springs, Westwood, Sullivan, and Deese. The Ellaville Tract is the only section associated with both rivers. Together, these scattered holdings preserve riverbanks, lands near springs, and other natural areas tied closely to two of North Florida’s major rivers.
