Dedicated on July 4, 1968, this memorial honors the strengthening of a divinely inspired heritage, a true belief in God, and the perseverance of the country to the glory of God and the salvation of mankind. It also honors the men who fought the foreign wars of this country on hostile land and sea and in the air, the men who gave their last full measure of devotion in the armed services of this great republic, and the deceased veterans remembered with the hope that they may rest in peace until the day breaks and the shadows flee away.
