Nature
Curly Bear Mountain is an 8,099-foot peak in the Lewis Range of Glacier National Park in Montana, easily visible from the village of Saint Mary just west of Divide Mountain. Its name honors Curly Bear, or Kyáiyo-xusi, a Blackfoot warrior and historian. By bearing his name, the mountain reflects not only the park’s landscape but also the region’s human history, linking this prominent peak directly to Blackfoot memory and identity.
