Lake Wister State Park is a 3,428-acre park in southeastern Oklahoma near Wister, beside 7,300-acre Lake Wister and at the edge of the Ouachita National Forest. It serves as a major regional destination for year-round outdoor recreation, offering hiking, camping, bicycling, picnicking, fishing, hunting, boating, and water skiing. Facilities include cabins, tent and RV sites, a group camp, trails, boat ramps, a swimming beach, a spray park, miniature golf, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and a nature center. A nearby waterfowl refuge and the neighboring Wister Wildlife Management Area add wildlife watching and hunting opportunities. In 2024, it also drew attention as one of seven Oklahoma state parks in the path of totality for the solar eclipse.
