The Original L.N. Railroad Co. Depot was built in 1905, restored, and placed on the Historical Register in 1983. Its 1983 dedication took place during the tenure of Mayor N.L. Prather, with councilpersons John D. Poston, V.M. Buford, P. Walker, Ivan Setser, Willa Haight, and Jimmy Hopkins serving from 1980 to 1983.
