The M110 artillery system entered service in 1963 and saw action during Vietnam, Operation Desert Shield, and Desert Storm. It can fire high explosive, fragmentation, and nuclear rounds, and it fires one round per minute. The M110A2 Howitzer entered service in 1978, and in February 1980 the first M110A2 was produced and was fitted with a double muzzle brake.
