Sawtooth Mountain is a 12,304-foot peak on the Continental Divide in Colorado's Front Range, marking the boundary between Boulder and Grand counties within the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Managed by Arapaho and Roosevelt national forests, it is identified as the easternmost projection of the divide across North America. The mountain is among the higher summits in both the wilderness and Boulder County, and its west face rises sharply above Buchanan Creek. Its slopes send water into different drainage systems, with eastern runoff reaching tributaries of St. Vrain Creek and western runoff flowing through Buchanan Creek to Monarch Lake and Lake Granby. Its high elevation brings an alpine subarctic climate with snowy winters and frequent summer storms.
