Sharon Clock Tower was dedicated in memory of Emily Butler Ogden Wheeler in 1884 and bears on its east side the inscription: “Hours are golden links. God's token. Reaching Heaven: but one by one. Take them lest the chain be broken. Ere the pilgrimage be done.”
