Nature
Macedonia Brook State Park in Kent, Connecticut encompasses 2,302 acres of wooded hills and stream valley centered on Macedonia Brook. Established from a 1,552-acre gift by the White Memorial Foundation in 1918, it grew into a larger preserve known for rugged scenery and access to upland terrain. The park offers camping, picnicking, fishing, and hiking, and is especially associated with the blue-blazed Macedonia Ridge Trail, which climbs over Cobble Mountain and other high points. With a 51-site campground and extensive day-use areas, it serves as a broad outdoor recreation area in northwestern Connecticut.
