Waddington Farms was the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Oglebay and later became Oglebay Park, one of the finest municipal parks in the country. A plan created for Mr. Oglebay in 1909 showed proposed arrangements of the grounds for Waddington Farms. On the south lawn, an arbor was constructed in 1909, extensive plantings were present by 1915, and the Oglebay family and friends were enjoying walks there in 1910. Mrs. Oglebay held an umbrella and Mr. Oglebay stood on the far right in one such scene, and the arbor was dismantled in the late 1930s because of its deteriorated condition.
