The San Buenaventura Water Works Project at the City of Ventura Avenue Water Treatment Plant was a Federal Works Agency, Public Works Administration project carried out under Federal Works Administrator John M. Carmody and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its original construction was completed in 1939, and the facility was decommissioned in August 2007.
