Ben Lomond is a 9,716-foot summit in the northern Wasatch Mountains north of Ogden, Utah, notable for a ridgeline that appears to run east-west unlike the surrounding range. A popular hiking destination, it can be reached from several trailheads, including routes from North Ogden Pass and Inspiration Point. Nearby Willard Peak and broad views over the Wasatch Front help define its setting. The mountain was named after Ben Lomond in Scotland, reportedly by Glasgow native Robert Montgomery. It also figures in local lore as a possible model for the original Paramount Pictures mountain logo sketched by Ogden-area native William W. Hodkinson in 1914.
