At the confluence of the White and Connecticut Rivers, the West Lebanon waterfront has had a long industrial history since the arrival of European settlers. Early mills gave way to the railroad era, which quite literally put West Lebanon on the map. Over the years, the Westboro Rail Yard waterfront was significantly altered as the railroad and village grew. Today, much of the rail yard bears contamination from this era, and a sewer line runs underground along the waterfront. The Greenway and Westboro Park will reimagine this industrial heritage and infrastructure to provide public access and recreation.
