Willard Covered Bridge in North Hartland, Vermont, carries Mill Street across the Ottauquechee River as the eastern of two bridges on the same road, separated by a small island. Built about 1870, it is a single-span Town lattice truss 123 feet long and 21 feet wide, with a one-lane roadway. The bridge stands on stone abutments faced in concrete and is enclosed by vertical board siding with two square openings on each side beneath a standing-seam metal roof. As one of only two surviving 19th-century covered bridges in Hartland, it holds special local importance and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
