Lennox Mountain is a 5,898-foot summit in Washington’s Alpine Lakes Wilderness whose branching ridges strongly shape the surrounding landscape and watersheds. A south-running ridge toward Canoe Peak forms a bowl containing Lake Kanim, the source of the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River. An eastern ridge, marked by rocky double cliffs and extending toward Coney’s Cones-South Peak, borders Coney Basin and Coney Lake, which drain to a tributary of the west fork of the Miller River. The mountain is significant not just for its height but for how distinctly its ridges enclose nearby lakes and divide water into two separate river systems.
