Cascade Falls, also known as The Cascades, is a waterfall on Falls Creek in E. B. Jeffress Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Beginning with a small free-fall, it widens into a long cascade and slide down a rock face, valued more for height and form than sheer water volume. An easy-to-moderate loop trail leads to upper and lower overlooks that offer distinct views of the falls and nearby plant life. The lower section is no longer reachable after a former path was closed to prevent damage to stream banks and vegetation and to improve visitor safety.
